In this special episode of the Women in Medtech podcast, we welcome back one of our most inspiring guests, Emily Levy, CEO and co-founder of Mighty Well. A year after our first conversation, Emily returns with powerful updates on her company’s growth, her evolving approach to healing, and her continued mission to support patients beyond the bedside.
From Vision to Validation: A Year of Milestones
Over the past 12 months, Mighty Well has made major strides. One standout achievement is securing an Innovation Voucher from the state of Rhode Island to fund lab testing for the PICCPerfect® Pro and H2O Shield™. These tests are helping transform patient and clinician feedback into clinical data that speaks directly to value-based care.
The company also expanded its partnership with Prism Medical, allowing patients to access vascular access supplies more easily. As Emily shared, “We’re solving problems I personally experienced as a patient.”
Network-Driven Success: The Power of Showing Up
Emily’s journey has been fueled by intentional relationships, and that was greatly evidenced this year. She credits her team, mentors, and advisors for helping Mighty Well grow and encourages other founders to ask for support, even before they feel ready.
The New England Medical Innovation Center was an incredibly valuable resource for her and other early-stage founders. It played a key role in helping her access the funding that made her latest research possible. Utilizing similar resources in your area can help you find those intentional relationships and find those that will help with key strategic insights.
In addition to leading Mighty Well, Emily also advises other purpose-driven ventures through Shepherd, her consulting and advisory platform focused on spirit-led innovation.
From Pitch Decks to the Global Stage
Emily’s ability to link vision with execution earned her a fellowship with the Cartier Women’s Initiative, a global program supporting women entrepreneurs. Although her first application was not accepted, her persistence paid off. She now serves as the co-wellbeing champion for the 2025 cohort.
Applications for the 2025 Cartier Women’s Initiative are open through June 24, 2025. If you know a founder who may be a fit, Emily is happy to speak with applicants and offer guidance.
Healing Beyond the Device
One of the most powerful moments in our conversation came when Emily described how her personal health journey is reshaping the future of Mighty Well. After facing chronic illness and exploring healing through indigenous medicine, she began to imagine a more holistic future for the company.
That vision includes wellness products and resources designed to support patients long after their vascular access journey ends. Her keynote, Intuition Development for Global Leaders, delivered at the Cartier conference, reflects this shift. It encourages leaders to build from authenticity, empathy, and lived experience.
